Aston Martin V8 Vantage (2012) the Vantage S-inspired upgrade
Mon, 20 Feb 2012This is Aston Martin’s new V8 Vantage, with a new gearbox, styling tweaks and chassis upgrades. You might think it looks little different than before – and that’s no bad thing – but Aston Martin claims the updates amount to ‘most comprehensive programme of enhancements’ since the 4.7-litre version of the V8 Vantage was launched in 2008. The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage will be unveiled at the Geneva motor show in March 2012, just in time to distract potential customers away from the new Porsche 911. Toyota GT86: GRMN Sports FR Platinum Concept revealed (video)
Sat, 12 Jan 2013The latest Toyota GT 86 by Gazoo Racing – the GRMN Sports FR Platinum Concept - has been revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. The most interesting is a GT86 that comes from Gazoo Racing – a part of Toyota – which was teased last week and gets the same sort of power upgrades as the Gazoo GT86 we saw turn up at Le Mans and Goodwood last year – the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum. The GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum gets a new front bumper and headlights with air vents on the bonnet, new back bumper and tail lights and a thumping great wing on the back.
Maserati and Poltrona Frau showcasing continuing collaboration
Wed, 20 Jun 2012Maserati and Poltrona Frau are showcasing their continuing collaboration in automotive design in a weeklong exhibition at Design Centre at Chelsea Harbor, London. From 18 until 22 June the glass domes of Design Centre will play host to a Maserati GranCabrio Sport as well as one of Poltrona Frau's skilled artisan upholsterers working on a chair throughout the week in a demonstration of traditional Italian craftsmanship. Poltrona Frau, the international high-end furniture company, has realized the interiors of the entire Maserati range – including the Quattroporte saloon, GranTurismo coupe and GranCabrio convertible – through its 100-year history of leather working and handcraftsmanship.
