SmallTownSpeed is proud to be the North American dealer for the quality cast aluminum, Australian made, AussieSpeed product line.

This is for one brand new, POLISHED finned aluminum top plate/engine cover for the non-hemi/"old"(came stock with a stamped tin valve cover, not the one with the stock cast valve cover) HARBOR FREIGHT PREDATOR 212. It may fit some of the other harbor freight motors, and Subaru motors, but does not fit Honda and most other clones. The main difference for the top plate is the front posts are slanted on the Honda and most clones, and they are flat on the non hemi predators predator motors. This is perfect for giving your go kart, mini-bike, barstool racer, or any other small engine project that awesome traditional hot rod look! These really do clean up and class up the look of these motors. These have 4 undrilled bosses for mounting the matching fuel pump and cover(in pictures 9, 10 and 11, but sold separately) as well as providing some extra options for throttle linkage(also sold separately, check my other listings).

This is polished(rough cast between the fins), and looks awesome, but its not a perfect mirror finish, and while it looks awesome and would be ready to enter into a mini-bike type show, its not a mass produced part, or a "show" polish. It will have minor flaws, and may have some small nicks and scratches from the shipping to get it to the USA. But if you have ever spent the time and money to polish a rough cast part, or have one polished, you will know that $20 extra for the polished cover over the cast ones is a bargain(these are brand new, these are the first ones in the US, and due to a box being damaged/parts missing from the international shipping, these 2 polished ones are the only ones I have)!

I'm a full time Firefighter/paramedic, and an avid motorcycle rider. I part out bikes to help offset what I spend building, riding, and racing them. With that said, I'm not a big shop, and this is not my only job. I will do everything in my power to ship parts out ASAP, and 95% of the time I get them out within 1 business day of when they are paid for, but because of my work schedule(where I work 24hr shifts, and sometimes work 48 and 72hr shifts), and my riding, there may be rare occasions that it may take longer than 24hrs before I get it shipped out. If you are in a rush to get the part, please contact me, and I will do everything I can get it out fast(and if you contact me, I can make special arrangements, and 99% of the time can get it sent out the same day). But if you are somebody who expects everything to be shipped instantly "come hell or high water", please find another seller who will better fit your needs, because I may very well be busy dealing with hell or high water, or just unwinding and riding my motorcycles. And the latter should be easy enough to relate to, right? I ALSO SELL PARTS ON FORUMS and LOCALLY, so I reserve the right to END AUCTIONS EARLY. I'm happy to combine shipping when practical, and I'm also happy to make package deals if there are several parts you need. Email is the best way to contact me, but I'm happy to give you a call, or give you my personal cell number if you would rather call me. FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK: SMALLTOWNSPEED

UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED, ALL OF THE PARTS I'M SELLING ARE USED. I guarantee them to fit the bike I took them off of; and any other years on models mentioned are to help people find parts that may work for them, not a guarantee of fitment. I pride myself in good customer service, accurate descriptions, and low prices. There is no feasible way for me to list or confirm every possible fitment while keeping my prices low. If you're not sure, check with your local dealer, or compare part numbers at an online oem supplier like motosport. BUT I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THAT EVERY PART I SELL IS SOLD EXACTLY AS PICTURED AND AS-IS. It is also possible that over the life of the bike that I'm parting out, that parts were changed to something other than what was put on at the assembly line. So, where am I going with all of this? I wont stick anybody with parts they don't want or can't use. I accept returns, and my great feedback speaks for itself; seriously, read through some of it.... I treat other riders(that's you) how I would want to be treated; but I ask that you do the same for me in two ways. 1- having realistic expectations when your buying used parts. 2- if something is not right; let me know and give me a chance to make it right for you before opening a dispute or leaving feedback. I've never had anybody who has contacted me with an issue not end up completely satisfied. I aim for 5 star service 100% of the time. If I'm not achieving that, please let me know how I can improve.

Thanks!

This 108-year-old Mercedes Simplex could sell for £900k

Tue, 26 Nov 2013

‘Old Mercedes up for auction’ doesn’t quite do this magnificent automobile justice. It’s a 1905 Mercedes Simplex 28/32 Phaeton, and one of the oldest Mercedes still in existence. But this car does not merely exist – it is resplendent as a stunning example of the very best the Edwardian era of motoring had to offer.

Preview: Porsche Panamera

Wed, 09 Jan 2008

After what has already been the most drawn-out model introduction ever (the initial Porsche sketches of the new model having been revealed in 2005), Porsche has finally released the first official rendering of its forthcoming Panamera sedan, set to be launched in 2009. Though the plan view doesn't show much of the new Porsche's design, the company says the features will 'include a wide and low body offering dynamic proportions and muscular design'. But while the grand tourer will have a 'compact overall look', the interior space is claimed to offer a brand-new experience of roominess, with two single seats and generous headroom at the rear allowing adults to sit in comfort.

2012 BMW X1 Facelift at New York Show

Tue, 03 Apr 2012

2012 BMW X1 Facelift The still quite new BMW X1 is getting a minor facelift for 2012 and will debut at the New York Auto Show. It’s really only a couple of years since the debut of the BMW X1, but BMW are already giving it a tweak and a titivate in a 2012 facelift designed, it would seem, to make the compact SUV seem a bit more upmarket; more in line with the rest of the BMW range. Revealed ahead of a debut at the New York Auto Show this month – after which it goes on sale in the US from $31.5k – the latest version of the X1 gets a new front bumper and grill with silver bars, deeper recessed fogs and silver detailing in the lower bumper to give the nose of the X1 more identity and make it a but more urban-warrior trendy.
