PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

As some customers require more flexibility than the basic TruCheck model, the 'Plus' adds a comprehensive range of features. With three modes of operation the TruCheck Plus is suitable for click wrenches, dial and electronic wrenches and in 'track' mode will continuously monitor the torque signal.

There are three torque units: N·m, lbf·ft and lbf·in.

TruCheck Plus also has a user selectable 'limit' feature. The operator sets the target torque and tolerance and the instrument will calculate whether the reading is within tolerance and indicate the results by illuminating one of three coloured LEDs: orange = low, green = ok, red = high.

TruCheck Plus has an RS-232 output and comes complete with an RS-232 cable. The reading measurement unit and limit status (Low, OK and High) are output via RS-232.

TruCheck has an accuracy of +/-1% of reading over operating range of 100 - 1000 N·m and comes with a traceable calibration certificate.

That’s a subjective call, but the new Carens is a decent looking effort from Kia at a sensible price point with decent equipment levels and offers plenty of family lugging abilities in to the bargain. All Carens models in the UK come with 7 seats and yet is 20mm shorter than the old Carens, But thanks to an extra 50mm in the wheelbase Kia reckons it offers all the space if bigger rivals and, with a flexible configuration for the seating, means the new Carens can accommodate the needs of a mix of load and people carrying with alacrity. The new Carens comes in three trim levels – catchily named 1, 2 and 3 – with 7 seats, cornering lights  LED running lights, electric heated door mirrors, AirCon, electric windows, Cruise, Radio/CD with iPod connectivity and Bluetooth and a rear conversation mirror.

BMW i8 Spied

Thu, 10 Mar 2011

The BMW i8 being filmed for BMW TV Just the other day we brought you the BMW i3 out playing in Scandinavia so, to complete the set, we thought we’d add to that with the BMW i8 doing exactly the same. These photos of the i8 being snapped in the snow are being reported as camouflaged cold-weather testing for BMW’s new “i” range of cars. Which – if you look carefully at the front of the i8 above – would seem unlikely.
