Up for Buy-It-Now is  a new old replacement stock rear wheel bearing, CJB part number 3104.  This item was obtained from an old service garage and is not a newly remanufactured part.  According to my vintage bearing manuals, this used on the following models and years:

1934 LaSalle, early 1935 Model 350, Series 50

1933 Oldsmobile 6 & 8
1934 Oldsmobile 8

This bearing is also used as a transmission main shaft center on the following:
Reo...1933-1934 All Automatic
Reo...1935 S7 Royal, All Automatic

I opened the bearing for the first time to inspect and take pictures .  The bearing is in brand new, never used condition and is free of any rust or damage.  It is still heavily greased form the manufacturer.

One Lap of the Web: Remembering the dearly departed

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

-- With news that Toyota is leaving the great state of California for the greater (by landmass, anyway; your own opinion may vary) state of Texas, it's worth reminding ourselves that Toyota in America started as one lonely building on 6000 Hollywood Blvd., having taken over a former Rambler dealership. (The site is still a successful Toyota dealership.) That first year of sales in 1958 saw 287 Toyopet Crowns and one Land Cruiser sold -- more as curiosities than as practical transportation, we'd wager. -- At any rate, Toyota's move from California to Texas is moving from "one of the most eco-friendly states in the union," according to Ward's Auto, "to the U.S.’s equivalent of China." -- Ten years ago today, the last Oldsmobile rolled off the line at Lansing Car Assembly.

General Motors is recalling 2.7 million U.S. cars and trucks for problems ranging from flawed taillamps and windshield wipers to brake problems, in an escalation of the safety crisis that has enveloped the company for months. GM said today it expects to book up to $200 million in charges in the second quarter to cover the cost of recalls during the period.

Citroen DS3 hits 200,000

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

The upmarket Citroen C3 – the very appealing Citroen DS3 – has hit the 200,000 production mark this week, a little over 2 years from launch. But we had to do a complete volte face when we finally had the new Citroen DS3 in for review – it’s an absolute cracker. In fact, so impressed were we with the DS3, we thought it probably the best car we’d had in during 2010, something Top Gear ended up agreeing with us on when they made it their car of 2010.
