AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE... This auction is for an unissued NORTH CAROLINA 1978 License Plate.  It was used briefly, and has some signs of age as shown, but has aged very nicely compared to most NC plates of the era.  NC now has a Year of Manufacture law for plates (research at NCDMV).  This would look great displayed on the back or your classic car.  Please do whatever research is necessary, and use the picture to be sure that this will suit your fitment and purpose prior to making a bid. As with all items that I list, this auction will be listed "as-is".  As always, the item will be as described and pictured ~ and sold in good faith.

U.S.P.S. Priority Shipping for this auction will be $6.  Payment should be received in the form of a PayPal transfer within 3 days of the end of the auction, and shipping will only be offered to confirmed PayPal addresses within the continental United States. Please check my feedback profile by clicking on the number next to my user name - currently over 4,400 positives. Thanks for looking, and Take Care. Rob.

Up in smoke: Smokey Yunick's garage burns

Tue, 26 Apr 2011

Legendary NASCAR mechanic Smokey Yunick closed the "Best Damn Garage In Town" long before he died in 2001. But the main concrete-block, tin-roofed building on Beach Street in Daytona Beach, Fla., remained a stop on the NASCAR history trail for visiting faithful until Monday night, when fire destroyed the building. The building housed Yunick's office and a medium-size garage and more recently served as office space for Carbon Press, the publishing company that Yunick's daughter, Trish, operates and which produces products that include Yunick's salty 1,100-page autobiography and biographies of other racing personalities.
