Max Marine Electronics thanks you for your understanding and your business!

This Northstar 6000i was removed from a boat being refit with new electronics. We have run it through a full bench evaluation:

-The unit has been run for over 12 hours continuously overnight, to make sure the keypad is good - the 6000i has a common issue with power cycling/power issues/rebooting itself which is often caused by a bad keypad
-Every button on the keypad and chart door has been tested using the factory keypad test. All buttons are ok.
-The software has been updated to version 7.76, the latest software version.
-The card reader has been tested with our Navionics test chip- chip not included
-The unit's GPS receiver board has been tested with our AN-150 test antenna and acquired a WAAS fix

If you're looking to replace a downed 15" 6000i, this would be a very economical replacement.

We're pretty nit-picky about the items we sell. That being said, we disclose anything that's "off" or that would distinguish the unit from a new one.

Disclosures: The unit does have separation of the optical bond between the LCD panel and front glass - this doesn't have any effect on performance, you will notice is subtly when the unit is on and it is visible when the unit is off - this is the result of the optical bond, which is an adhesive-like gel that glues the LCD panel to the front glass, melting and contracting over time causing the separation. It really doesn't have much of an effect on viewability when the unit is powered on. Also, there are what we call "peaks" in the backlight in all four corners of the screen. I don't really know how to accurately describe them other than to say that when there is a white screen, the peaks are more visible and when data is on the screen, they're almost un-noticable. It is most pronounced in the second picture on the "return" softkey, see how it's a little lighter/whiter in that one spot.

Other than that, the unit is in great shape, it was installed in an 80 foot Burger motoryacht that was being refit with Garmin 8000 series displays.

This listing is for the head unit only. A lot of the pictures were taken with peripherals (radar, chart card, GPS antenna, etc.), none of these peripherals are included but are available on ebay for purchase.

Shipping free in the US, thanks for looking.

Includes the head unit, suncover, and power cable only. Shipping will be free in the continental US, $65 internationally. Returns must be initiated within 30 days, 30 day warranty.
