Northstar M84 Multifunction Display

The M84 integrates GPS, radar, sonar, fuel management and video functionality into a daylight viewable high-resolution display.

The M84 excels as a complete navigation package for boats of all sizes. Northstar High Definition Digital radar combined with C-Map Max SD cartography provides a comprehensive array of navigational aids, including chart overlay.

The ground-breaking M84 delivers navigation confidence with Northstar's High Definition Digital Radar System, allowing you to detect weather fronts and potential sea hazards. AIS brings boat identification to radar and chart.

The M84 features video input capability from any video output device such as aft deck or engine room cameras, DVD players, or underwater cameras.

Chart
Northstar's 32MB embedded background chart gets you started, add C-Map's MAX™ SD card for detailed chart data, value-added port info and land detail.

Radar
Northstar High Definition Digital Radar brings advanced signal processing, better target presentation and better clutter rejection with your optional Northstar Digital Radar system.

Sonar
Equipped with a powerful 1kW (RMS) sounder that automatically adjusts the output power (1kW or 600W) to match the wattage of your transducer. No separate sounder processor is required. Simply plug the transducer of your choice into the M84 and you're up and running.

A.I.S.
Optional Automatic Identification System receivers display vital vessel information from registered vessels on the chartplotter screen.

Fuel Management
On-demand access to your engine's gasoline performance data, as well as SmartCraft™ management for SmartCraft-enabled Mercury, Mariner or MerCruiser engines (optional fuel kit/SmartCraft™ gateway required).

VIDEO(PAL/NTSC)
Northstar brings video to your helm. Connect a camera for deck monitoring, engine room surveillance, even underwater views. Or connect a DVD player or camcorder for entertainment at your helm (a separate audio output system is required for sound).

Fri, 23 Oct 2009

Honda CRZ concept at the 2009 Tokyo motor show; one of the cars unveiled by Honda CEO Takanobu Ito By Ben Pulman Motor Industry 23 October 2009 11:22 Honda chief executive Takanobu Ito today spelled out his vision for the next decade at Honda to CAR Online. No successor to the NSX is under development, but there will be a smaller city car slotting under the Jazz in Honda's range. It will be launched in Asia at first, potentially following in the rest of the world.Ito, who is also president of Honda R&D, said that the company had no firm plans for a pure battery electric vehicle at this stage – the onus is on hybrid petrol electric cars and fuel-cell models. It will continue to develop diesels for Europe, but Ito admitted a project to build clean-fuel diesels for the US market had been cancelled.
