Norton Commando swingarm bush upgrade. These bushes will minimize wear and maintenance in comparison to the original bronze bushes. Have you noticed how quickly the bronze bushes wear? All because of poor lubrication. Basically a flanged washer holding an O’ring trying to contain oil. The reason for the 140 weight oil as recommended for the swingarm bushes, is because being as thick as it is, it is the slowest to leak out. A poor system that was never able to maintain an oil tight unit.

Now that is a thing of the past. These bush upgrades are made with Lube Impregnated Plastic. Tough, strong and lubrication inside the bush itself. Made for applications where lubrication is near impossible, like underwater rigging. Imagine what permanent immersion in saltwater would do to lubricated applications. I am using ERTALYTE TX. Lookup dotmar.com.au for more information.

Bushes are made with no longer the need to run an O’ring and flanged washer, the flange of the bush increases from 1.625 to 2.0 inches in diameter. The broader flange greatly supports the spindle in keeping the swingarm and cradle in alignment. Better chain run without the swingarm twisting at the cradle while cornering. The flanged washer removal increases the bush flange thickness from .125 thou to .165 thou creating a much more solid bush/swingarm/cradle relationship. No more wise guys coming along and grabbing hold of your back wheel to laugh at Norton’s famous sloppy swingarm pivot. Due to wear at the swingarm/cradle junction of a 40 year old norton commando, the flange thickness is up to an extra 0.005 thou to minimize hopefully the need o

My recommendation is to lubricate on installation. I personally used never-seize, or any good engine or gearbox oil. Manufacturers of the Lube Impregnated Plastic recommend lubrication on setup to extend the life of the bush. Goes without saying really.

My bushes were installed 8 years ago with periods of storage and periods of continuous riding, and they are still firm with no slop.

This auction is for one set of Bushes ( No Spindle). These are the short 850 set. From late 1973 models. NOTE: EARLY 850 MODELS RAN THE LONG 750 VERSION. CHECK YOUR BIKE FIRST BEFORE YOU BID.

Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 vs G63 AMG (video)

Sun, 24 Nov 2013

Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 vs G63 AMG The Mercedes G 63 AMG is a mad car in its own right (although not as mad as the G 65) and costs almost £125k before you start ticking any option boxes. But the G 63 AMG is bullet proof, will go anywhere and does come with many of the luxuries you’d rightfully expect in a £125k car, even if its on-road handling – particularly if you decide to make the most of the 5.5 litre V8 turbo’s  performance – is pretty woeful round the bends. Mad and irrational though the G 63 may be, it now has an even madder sibling – the Mercedes G 63 AMG 6×6 – which not only adds an extra axle for 6WD but comes at a price – almost £400k – that makes the G 63 seem a bargain.

Ferrari posts record sales despite economic uncertainty

Thu, 13 Sep 2012

Global economic waters are far from calm, but Ferrari has managed to steer clear of the turmoil. The Italian automaker has released sales figures for the first six months of 2012, and they’re impressive by any measure. Revenues for the first half of the year are up nearly 12 percent, and net profits have risen 10 percent to over $130 million.
