Audi Sport Quattro Concept arrives on video
Tue, 29 Oct 2013It does seem almost a certainty that Audi are planning on building a production version of theĀ Audi Sport Quattro concept we saw at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month. After all, Audi has already had one stab at a high-end recreation of the iconic quattro in 2010, turned up at Frankfurt with a second, more powerful, version and has now got that version running around on video to celebrate 100,000 Facebook Likes. If Audi are going to build the Sport Quattro it’s almost certainly going to be a limited edition run at a price that eclipses even the current range-topping Audi R8 V10 Plus.

Its risible name was apparently picked - groan - because it's low on consumption like the spiky desert plant... Yes, it's yet another green concept car, designed to showcase a company's commitment to saving the planet.
Porsche 911 GT3 R Hybrid race car revealed
Wed, 10 Feb 2010Porsche will bring its latest hybrid know-how to the racetrack in the form of the new 911 GT3 R Hybrid, revealed here for the first time prior to a planned public premiere at the Geneva auto show in early March. Developed by a team of engineers at Porsche's Weissach R&D center, Porsche plans for the stripped-out race car to act as a rolling laboratory. The German carmaker wants to explore the potential of hybrid drivetrains in a racing environment before an expected announcement that it will return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a factory capacity, perhaps in 2012, with a race car boasting technology based on that used in the 911 GT3 R Hybrid.
