Opel Insignia Sports Tourer wagon spotted near GM's proving grounds

Just like my parents used to say, “You can't get anything by us, we have eyes everywhere.” Ominous threats aside, GM's European unit Opel tried to sneak an Insignia Sports Tourer station wagon onto the roads of Michigan. Luckily our roving eyes spotted the car--complete with turbo badges--and sent some photos back to the mothership. A wagon version of the European sedan has been spotted on Michigan roads before.

Hyundai i10 Electric introduced

The all electric Hyundai i10 will show at Frankfurt (click for bigger image) This is a bit of a surprise from Hyundai, as they’d always said they would concentrate on hybrids until hydrogen fuel cell technology was advanced enough to make it viable in a budget car. Racing granny wished for more speed

A 102-year-old woman said she was disappointed racing great Mario Andretti could not go faster than 180mph during their laps around a speedway track in Indianapolis. Edith Pittenger, of Muncie, said she had a great time riding with Andretti in a two-seat race car. "He said 180 is the maximum," she told the Star Press.
