This is an NOS bumper jack base from a 1940's or 1950's car, truck or tractor. This basemeasures 6" x 6" and the center hole measures 1.25" x 1". It has a spring in the center hole used to keep the base attached to the upright rod when assembled. Payment is expected within 10 days of the close of the auction. Upcoming Mercedes-Benz MLC-class spied testing
Mon, 14 Jul 2014Just a few weeks after the debut of the Mercedes-Benz MLC in concept form, prototypes have been spotted testing in Colorado earlier this month. The MLC is meant to offer packaging similar to the BMW X6, combining the SUV shape of the ML with a more coupe-like exterior design. The MLC will make its public debut at the Moscow International Motor Show in August of this year, a location that is perhaps indicative of the target audience for this upcoming crossover.

The inaugural RM Auctions Paris sale this week was a case in point, and resulted in nearly £15 million’s worth of the world’s rarest and most exotic cars going under the hammer. Four cars alone went for in excess of £1 million, and a Jaguar D-type sold for three times that amount.
GM launches Corvette ads on television
Wed, 14 Jul 2010WITH VIDEO -- The first work from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners' new client, General Motors' Chevrolet, is out, and it's a testosterone-filled, 45-second TV spot for the 2011 Corvette. The ad, which aired for the first time Tuesday night on ESPN, marks GM's return to TV advertising for the Corvette after a five-year absence. Titled "Still Building Rockets," the commercial shows footage of rocket scientists juxtaposed with snapshots of GM plant workers building a Corvette.
