Nos 1940-1948 Ford Roof Mount Antenna Tube Assembly With Roof Seal Chrome Nuts on 2040-parts.com
Statham, Georgia, United States
NOS / New Old Stock antenna "tube" assembly....don't know the exact term for this piece. Anyway, I believe it is for 1940 1941 1942 1946 1947 1948 Ford closed car....Tudor Fordor Sedan Woody Deluxe Standard .... I also believe that this is for roof mount antenna equipped cars. There are basically 5 pieces...steel tube (7-1/2"), chrome interior nut, plastic spacer, chrome exterior nut and plastic seal or roof support. The seal does not have a part number but does has the patent 2,205,846. This patent number is dated 1939 and is for Courtney's improvement for radio antennas. The condition is excellent. The chrome is perfect. The tube has minor oxidation. The seal or plastic roof is nice with minor shelf wear. Great addition to nicest correct restoration.
