New Old Stock Silvertone AM radio for use in 1940 - 1950s six-volt applications. In original box. Silvertone manufactured this radio for Sears in 1949 – shipping card is dated May 10, 1949. Beautiful face plate and dial face with translucent burgundy knobs. Chassis has beautiful original burgundy finish. Model number 528.6293-1A with speaker built into the unit. Serial number A530738. Near miss for family as car ploughs into house
Mon, 12 May 2014A FAMILY of four had a lucky escape after a car ploughed into their home in Coventry, demolishing the front door and ending up in the hallway. The car's male driver also walked away uninjured from his blue Audi S-line saloon after the accident happened at about 6.45pm on Saturday, West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) said. However, his female passenger had to be freed from the wreck by firefighters before being taken to hospital with neck, pelvic and leg injuries.

Petrol engine choices for the Paceman are the 1.6 litre Cooper Paceman with 122bhp, 0-62mph in 10.4 seconds and 47.1mpg and the Cooper S Paceman with the same 1.6 litre but with 184bhp, 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and 46.3mpg. There’s also the 218bhp MINI John Cooper Works Paceman that can hit 62mph in a pretty swift 6.9 seconds.
