NOS 1960's 1970's Ford Lincoln Mercury Car Truck Floor Trunk Rubber Plug Lot (3)

This listing is for a small lot of three loose rubber floor or trunk plugs. These are still nice and soft and ready for service. Refer to pictures for style and approximate size. The one on the left is Ford standard hardware number 386868-S. The middle piece is 377949-S and the far right piece is 385622-S. Cheap if you can use them.

Standard utility parts and hardware are parts that do not have a regular Ford part number, but have a special number (usually 5 or 6 digits) assigned to them and a finish code or suffix that follows. I am listing these hardware pieces as they are a sought after part to any correct and complete repair, restoration, or replacement. Most of these pieces are rare and/or one of a kind and are unique to Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars and trucks. Some may be of a standard enough nature (such as nuts and bolts) to be found at commercial sources today, but nothing beats the correct material, finish, look, and feel of vintage originals. There will be no purchase price discounts given for multiple quantities of an item or offers taken for individual pieces unless already allowed for with Best Offer feature. The prices are set and represent the availability of correct original hardware. If you just need a run of the mill 5/8" nut, 1/4"-20 screw, or 3/8" flat washer, then your hardware store may provide you with that alternative.

Each of these pieces of hardware may have a single or multiple use on a vehicle, various years of service, and multiple vehicle applications, therefore trying to list every specific end item use would be unrealistic. Likewise, I do not have the reference ability to take requests for specific applications so I am presenting the Ford hardware number, along with the descriptive characteristics of the piece as given in the catalog, for you to determine what you need. In other words, you will need to know what fits your vehicle or what you are looking for in order to find the correct part. I am unable to answer questions such as: "Where does this part go", “Will this fit my car” or "Can you tell me what piece I need for ______". I have provided a table below for you to use as a reference for finish codes. Table is not all inclusive, so if you need to look up a specific finish code or I list something not in the table, please contact me if you have a question. Go with ORIGINAL Ford hardware!! If you need a replacement or an extra, here it is.

Go ORIGINAL Ford!! If you need a replacement or an extra, here it is.

I am currently listing many small, hard to find, NOS Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury parts. I do not have EVERY parts book Ford put out, but I do have most and will make every attempt to accurately describe the item, it's application(s), and the years it was in service.

All my listings are for NOS items unless otherwise specified in the item description. Please keep in mind that while these are NOS parts manufactured by or for Ford, there may be something that is unforeseen in quality or present due to storage, such as discoloration, shelf and box rubs, light scuffing, residues, etc. Most of these parts have been sitting on a dealership shelf and are between 20 and 50 years old. I don't sell junk, broken, or obviously unusable parts. Those are for the trash. If a part is missing, or needs some attention due to chrome spotting, shelf grime, or surface rust, I will note it. These items are often one of a kind and obsolete from Ford. As such, all items are sold as is. Also, it's hard for me to visualize where on a car or truck each and every part may go since I list thousands of different parts from 1932 grill trim to the seat back bushings on a 1992 F-250. The buyer will have to rely on either shop experience, knowledge of their car or truck, and a visual comparison with the photo(s) in conjunction with what I have described, to make a determination as to exact fit or application as it pertains to their vehicle.

Please e-mail me if you have any questions. I am always glad to provide more photos if you feel they will help you make a good decision. I will have other NOS and used items up for sale periodically so bookmark my Seller's page and check back every few days. I also have a Store with hundreds of items you may find of use.

Thanks for looking and good luck!!

Hyundai is set to add another vehicle to its list of successes: the new Elantra, which was revealed at the LA auto show this year. Created by principal designer Cedric d'Andre, the Elantra was the last car conceived under the direction of Hyundai's former design boss, Joel Piaskowski. The new car shares the 'fluidic sculpture' design theme of its larger sibling, the Sonata and has an impressively low 0.28Cd.

Panoz confirms new Abruzzi road car

Mon, 03 May 2010

The recurring rumor is now put to rest. Don Panoz, founder of Panoz Auto Development and the American Le Mans Series, said on Monday that the latest Panoz sports car--the Abruzzi “Spirit of Le Mans”--will be formally unveiled in June in France, in the lead-up to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. “We wanted to wait until Le Mans to release official photos of the car, but today we are providing a ‘teaser’ image of the Abruzzi ‘Spirit of Le Mans’ that hints at what the final car will be like,” Panoz said.
