Condition:New

This is a kit of parts for the dealers to install per NHTSA recall 76V160000.  It pertains to Chevy's and Buick's built in 1965 and 1966 with Quadrajet carburetors.   For Buick's that would include all Riviera's and some GS Wildcat's and Skylark's; for Chevy I believe it would include some Corvette, Chevelle, Impala, Caprice and ChevyII Nova models.

The following was found from googling the recall:

CHEVROLET CAMPAIGN NO. 66C12. BUICK CAMPAIGN NO. 66C1. POSSIBILITY THAT THE FUEL INLET PLUG ON ROCHESTER QUADRAJET CARBURETOR MAY FAIL WHICH COULD RESULT IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE. THIS CONDITION, IF IT EXISTS, COULD CAUSE INJURY FROM FIRE OR FROM LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL. (CORRECT BY INSPECTING AND INSTALLING A SPECIAL BRACKET ON THE CARBURETOR TO PREVENT LOSS OF FUEL INLET PLUG). PASSENGER VEHICLE.

Was your Chevy or Buick subject to this recall?  Was a recall kit installed, and is it still there?

Don't miss this rare detailing item.

More GM parts will be listed in the coming weeks.
