NOS NON-TILT Steering Column Lower Bearing Adapter.

This fits:

1965-66 Pontiac GTO, LeMans, & Tempest;

1965-66 Oldsmobile 442 & Cutlass;

1965-66 Buick Gran Sport & Skylark.

This WILL NOT fit 1964 models for the above applications, or 1964-66 Chevelles.

This adapter was retained to the outer steering column jacket with two screws. The lower shaft bearing is pressed into this adapter.

Again, this is for a NON-tilt steering column. This is a hard to find NOS item with no correct reproduction part available today.


Detroit Auto Show: Bentley Continental GTC Speed debuts

Bentley will complete its Speed portfolio when it introduces a freshened Continental GTC range at the Detroit auto show. Along with exterior and equipment changes, a new GTC Speed model is added with a more powerful version of the 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 that churns out 600 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque for an improvement of 48 hp and 74 lb-ft over the regular GTC. The result is Bentley's most powerful convertible to date.

Roof leaks dampen Autorama

The Detroit Autorama was marred last weekend by a leaky roof that spilled salty, rusty water onto several custom cars. The leaks were caused by a combination of heavy precipitation--Detroit has had one of the snowiest winters in recent memory that gave way to an early March rainstorm--which pummeled an aging roof. Water fell to the show floor in six spots, temporarily damaging seven or eight cars.

Cadillac boss Bob Ferguson recently told Automotive News that GM is considering an ATS wagon. Autoweek contributor and GM big shot Mark Reuss is on record speaking in favor of wagons.
