Since its introduction at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, Auto Design Night has established itself as the event for professional designers to meet up and unwind after a hard day at the auto show. Hosted on the evening of the first press day, this informal gathering has already provided hundreds of designers with a stylish, informal venue in which to eat, drink and relax with their peers, as well as providing top-class entertainment and some surprise concept unveils. The New Hyundai i10 (pictured) will cost from £8,345 – the same as the old i10 The 2014 Hyundai i10 – the new generation of Hyundai’s supermini – arrived officially at the Frankfurt Motor Show last month, and manages to offer a lot more than the old i10. Despite growing in size, getting better looking and offering more, not just in terms of size, than the current/last i10, Hyundai are starting pricing for the new i10 at the same level as the old model – £8,345. The new i10 will come with a choice of two petrol engines – the 1.0 litre 3-cylinder with 65bhp and 0-62mph in 14.9 seconds and the 1.2 litre with 86bhp and a 0-62mph of 12.3 seconds – as well as a choice of three trim levels – S, SE and Premium.

Alfa Romeo release an Alfa 4C Video One of the most appealing cars at this year’s Geneva Motor Show was the Alfa Romeo 4C, a good-looking, mid-engined, 2-seater coupe. Better still, Alfa let it be known that this 4C Concept wasn’t just for fun, it was on the way to a showroom near you. In fact we believed the Alfa 4C was the car that would be the halo model for Alfa Romeo’s return to the American market, at that time expected to be in 2012 but, as we reported recently, that plan is going a bit awry.
