NOS Fuel Tank Gauge Sending Unit, GM Part #6427151. This is the correct sending unit for:

1965 Oldsmobile 442s With Air Conditioning Only;

1966 Oldsmobile 442s With or With Air Conditioning.

This is a two year & one model only sending unit that was not shared with other GM A-body cars. It features a large 3/8 inch diameter pick-up tube that only the 442 models had. It has the vapor return nipple that was needed for 1965 AC cars. All 1966 442 models (with or without AC) had a vapor return line. There is no correct reproduction of this sending unit available.

Tom Medley 1920-2014

Tom Medley, best known as the creator of the hapless and humorous hot hero Stroker McGurk, passed away March 2 of natural causes in Los Angeles at the age of 93. While Medley was best known for his McGurk character, he was part of the media empire that was Hot Rod magazine from just after its inception until his retirement 37 years later. Medley was a photographer as well as a cartoonist, covering the first Bonneville speed week and the Indy 500 from 1950 to 1964.

Vauxhall launches powerful 1.0 petrol engine

OLD-FASHIONED 1.6-litre petrol engines in Vauxhall cars are about to be replaced by a clever new 1.0-litre alternative. The tiny newcomer has only three cylinders, but thanks to a turbocharger it coughs up more power and torque than many normal 1.6-litre equivalents. It’s set to debut in Vauxhall’s funky Adam supermini, although the new engine will be display-only when it emerges at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
