Part Brand:GM - General Motors; AC Spark Plug Division Other Part Number:Trans Am TA Vette Interchange Part Number:Sender Transducer Gauge Guage Gage

NOS Original 1969-76 Style AC Oil Pressure Transducer (Sending Unit). This can be used as a replacement for the original 1969-76 part number units. Only the addition of a 90 degree electrical terminal (held on the stud with a nut) is needed to compete. If a terminal is needed, they are available as a reproduction item.

GM’s AC Division began producing this style sending unit in 1969, and continued through the end of the 1972 production for Pontiacs, 1974 for Oldsmobiles, and 1976 for Corvettes. Thereafter, the sending units were made by an outside supplier (Introl), and the style of the case was very different. The original part number sending unit was available as a service part only until June 1976, and thereafter, the Introl units were then offered as a replacement. This unit has the electrically correct specifications (producing approximately zero to 90 ohms over the zero to 80 PSI range). This unit looks and operates the same as the original part number unit, but has a different part number stamped on it.

This sending unit can be used to replace the original part number one for the following applications with the standard or optional rally gauges (not warning lights):

1969-72 Full-size Pontiac;

1969-72 Pontiac GTO;

1969-72 Pontiac LeMans, Tempest, T-37, & GT-37 with V/8 engines;

1969-1972 Pontiac Trans Am & Grand Prix;

1969-72 Pontiac Firebird with V/8 engines;

1969-74 Oldsmobile 442, Cutlass, F85, & Vista Cruiser;

1969 Chevrolet Chevelle, Malibu, & El Camino (This was the replacement for the original pin terminal version – a 90 degree terminal is not needed.);

1973-76 Chevrolet Corvette.

This unit can also be used as a replacement for the original 1966-68 “domed” shaped sending units. GM Parts discontinued selling these “domed” shaped sending units in September 1969. Thereafter, the original 1969-76 sending units were offered as the replacement.

This sending unit can be used to replace the original part number one for the following applications with the standard or optional rally gauges (not warning lights):

1967-68 Full-size Pontiac;

1967 Pontiac GTO With An 80 Pound Gauge (Some early cars had a 60 pound gauge);

1967 Pontiac LeMans & Tempest With V/8 Engine Only & With An 80 Pound Gauge (Some early cars had a 60 pound gauge);

1968 Pontiac GTO;

1967-68 Pontiac Firebird With V/8 Engine Only;

1966-67 Oldsmobile 442 Only (It appears Cutlass & F85 used an 60 pound sending unit);

1968 Oldsmobile 442, Cutlass, F85, & Vista Cruiser.

Range Rover & Range Rover Sport updated for 2015

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

The Range Rover (pictured) and Range Rover Sport updated The Range Rover and Range Rover Sport both seem like ‘new’ Range Rovers, but that’s not stopping Land Rover from updating both models for 2015. Under the bonnet, the SDV8 gets tweaked to deliver an extra 29lb/ft of torque – now with 545lb/ft – and a fuller torque curve between 1700 and 3300rpm. The effect of that extra torque is an improvement of 6.5 per cent in in-gear acceleration from fifth to eighth gear and better towing ability.

Mazda2 2010 Update?

Fri, 09 Oct 2009

The Mazda2 from Thailand - featuring a Mazda3 style nose Does this new nose – which follows the theme of the very good Mazda3 – forecast an update for the Mazda2 in the rest of the world that hasn’t happened yet? It seems more than likely. It would be very odd for Mazda to produce the Mazda2 in Thailand with a nose that matches the Mazda3, and then leave it alone for the rest of the world.
