Just a bit about iowa_bowtie:
Our inventory is old Chevy dealer stock. We have New Old Stock (NOS) from the 30s to the 80s. Almost all of our parts are GM NOS for Chevrolets, but there are times that they are also a fit for other GM models including Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Cadillac. We have a large array of parts, but unfortunately no inventory list… so we encourage you to add us to your Favorite Sellers and enjoy the search with us. We try to list pairs if we have them available (if a left and right are needed), but sometimes we will find a mate later so keep watching each week. If you get a 2nd Chance Offer from iowa_bowtie, it's legitimate... Dad sometimes had more than one. Whether you’re looking for parts to keep your oldie on the road, restoring your dream cruiser, accessorizing your bomb, or riding slow in your lowrider join our group of Classic Car Fans.

Thanks for your support and inquiries... we appreciate all our car lovin' friends!

Automotive Archaeology: Chicago collector creates gems from the junkyard

Thu, 08 Jul 2010

Chicago-area native Joe Bortz began collecting cars in 1962 with no idea that he'd become renowned for having possibly the world's best collection of significant concept cars. More than 40 years later, that's an honor Bortz wears with pride, but it speaks to only a part of his collection of machinery. Bortz's car-collecting passion began with a 1928 Chevrolet Landau coupe.

Peugeot 308 GT THP and 308 SW (2008): first official pictures

Tue, 19 Feb 2008

By Mark Nichol First Official Pictures 19 February 2008 09:37 Peugeot is hammering the final nails into the coffin of the 307 with two new additions to the 308 range – a warmed-up 308 GT THP and a practical SW estate – both due to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008. Peugeot has given that ‘Lion’s nose’ bonnet a bit more, erm, growl by dropping the 175bhp engine from the 207 GTi into it. That means 0-62mph comes up in 8.3 seconds while the top speed is 140mph.
