UP FOR BID IS A NOS 1968-70 Chevy Camaro Nova Chevelle Z28 SMC Logo Vented Gas Cap GM # 3931449
THIS NOS CAP HAS NEVER BEEN MOUNTED, AND COMES NEW IN THE GM BAG. THIS CAP HAS THE SMC LOGO, THE S RIVET, AND ITS ORIGANAL GASKET. A TRUE NOS CAP NOT A RESTORED PIECE. THIS CAP WAS USED ON MANY CHEVY MODELS STARTING IN 1964 ON THE CHEVELLE, OF COURSE THIS WAS USED ON THE 1969 CAMARO. THIS CAP FOUND ITS WAY ON TO THE 1967-70 PONTIAC FIREBIRD AND THE 1965-69 GTO. THIS WAS THE CAP FOR ALL MODELS IN 1970 WITHOUT E.E.C. OR E.E.S.. A LIST OF APPLICATIONS IS BELOW. THIS CAP REPLACES GM # 3843698 IN LATE 1970. THIS CAP WILL HELP TO ENSURE PROPER FIT AND FINISH. THIS CAP IS FAR SUPERIOR TO CURRENT REPRODUCTIONS AND IS OF COURSE BETTER THAN AN OVER RESTORED CAP IN EVERY WAY. THIS PIECE IS IN GOOD SHAPE, HAS SOME TARNISH DUE TO THE RE-BOX, NO RUST, AND IS THAT FINISHING TOUCH FOR ANY RESTORATION.
