The toy versions of the Land Rover Discovery Sport revealed Land Rover have been busy teasing the new Land Rover Discovery Sport – the replacement for the Freelander – ahead of its debut on 3rd September. We’ve already had the new Discovery Sport out testing, a good look at the Sport’s interior and, of course, the initial review of the Discovery Vision Concept that previewed the new Disco Sport. But now, ahead of a debut in a week or two, we get the Discovery Sport revealed early thanks to a photo of a couple of die cast models of the new Disco.

The Nissan Leaf has won the 2011 European Car of the Year gong, it was announced today. It's the first electric car to win the award. The European Car of the Year whittled down 41 contenders to a shortlist of seven.

Two top Ford Motor Co. executives, CFO Lewis Booth and global product development chief Derrick Kuzak-- both key architects of the automaker's recovery--will retire on April 1, the automaker said Thursday. Booth, 63, will be succeeded by Bob Shanks, Ford's vice president and controller.
