NOS Brake Pedal Pad Cover, GM Part #489779. This is the correct original part number pad for the following cars with an automatic transmission:

1973 Pontiac GTO;

1973-75 Pontiac LeMans, Grand Am, & Grand Prix;

1976-77 Pontiac LeMans & Grand Prix (With Custom Trim Plate Pedals);

1976-79 Pontiac Ventura & Phoenix (With Custom Trim Plate Pedals);

1977-81 Pontiac Bonneville & Catalina (With Custom Trip Plate Pedals).

This cover accepts a stainless steel trim plate. The cover for cars without the custom trim plates was a different part number.

This cover was still in the original GM packaging until I opened it for the photos. These are no longer available from GM Parts.

Ferrari 599 successor to debut at Geneva show

Ferrari has confirmed that the follow-up to the 599 Fiorano will debut at the Geneva motor show next month. The latest in Ferrari's long line of front-engine V12 GT cars, which stretches back to the 166 Inter of 1948, it's rumored to boast in the neighborhood of 700 hp. That's roughly double the power of the 365 GTB/4 pictured above, which Dan Gurney and Brock Yates famously used to cross the country in 35 hours and 54 minutes back in 1971.

Whos Where: Peter Schreyer to head Kia Design

In what's regarded as a major boost for Korean car maker Kia, it has been confirmed that Peter Schreyer will be moving from Volkswagen AG to lead Kia's global design operation. Schreyer will oversee the design activities of the company's regional design centers in Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Tokyo as well as the Namyang Design Center in Korea. While Schreyer's move to Kia comes across as a big surprise for many within automotive design circles, his departure from Volkswagen doesn't.

Audi is set to show off LEDs and the S7 sedan in Super Bowl ad

Audi will air an ad during the Super Bowl for the fifth consecutive year. The company will use the big game to display the LED headlights on the juiced-up 2013 Audi S7 sedan. The ad's theme is still under wraps, but it will revolve around the benefits of LEDs, which Audi says is its signature.
