NOS 1974-75 Black "Golf Club" Style Carrera LHS Exterior Mirror - 911 731 017 20

If you're restoring, or just maintaining, a vintage Porsche then you've probably discovered that nothing fits your car like original, German-made parts. That's especially true regarding the delicate exterior trim parts like the mirrors because they tended to take so much abuse over the years.

This is an extremely rare, left hand side, exterior mirror correct for 1974-75 Carreras. This black "golf club" style mirror was installed on cars shipped to RHD markets like Australia and was also a popular option for countries that didn't specify mirrors like Italy. It's in absolutely beautiful, NOS condition, still in its original box, and without flaws. I've included multiple high-resolution photos showing the exact condition of this item.

For U.S. customers, I will ship this item for $12.00.

For international customers, the shipping and customs quote for this item is based on the eBay Global Shipping Program. Depending on the country in which you reside, there may be less expensive shipping options available. If you wish to explore other shipping options, you must contact me for a shipping quote before making your purchase. If you make your purchase (by using Buy It Now) before contacting me, I will be unable to offer you alternative shipping methods.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and the parts I have for sale on eBay are all parts that, at one time or another, were purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. I own some of the finest Porsches in the world. I don’t own junk and I don’t sell junk. Thanks for looking.

GM looks to drop some weight with magnesium

Wed, 24 Oct 2012

Like many Americans, carmakers are on a continuing quest to lose weight. Less weight, which equals better fuel economy without a loss in performance, is a key selling point in dealerships. Weight loss is a key factor for two upcoming launches from General Motors--the redesigned full-size pickups and SUVs, and the redesigned 2014 Chevrolet Corvette.

Hungarian Grand Prix (2012) RESULT

Sun, 29 Jul 2012

With a dominant Lewis Hamilton on pole and Button just behind in his McLaren, will the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix see McLaren dominate? There’s no question, certainly on the evidence of free practice and qualifying at the Hungaroring for the 2012 Hungarian Grand Prix, that McLaren has found the speed it’s lost recently. Hamilton was streets ahead of the rest and Button close behind as McLaren showed they probably have the fastest car on the grid this weekend.
