One Lap of the Web: Remembering Ayrton Senna
Thu, 01 May 2014-- Hard to believe it's been 20 years since the passing of Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, but one Jalopnik reader remembers the bloody weekend in San Marino vividly. A dream vacation in Europe cumulating in the ill-fated Grand Prix: Alan Dahl saw Senna's wrecked car coming into the pits, but like the rest of the crowd, he wouldn't find out Senna's fate until he left the track. Illegal school parking 'should be fined'
Wed, 12 Feb 2014DRIVERS who park illegally when dropping off or collecting their children from school should be fined. A large number of drivers (86%) say they agree with trials by councils to catch school run drivers who park on zig-zag lines at pedestrian crossings, even if they stop for only a few seconds. Several local councils, including Enfield in north London and York boroughs, are now using CCTV cameras to capture illegal parking.

Wed, 12 Sep 2012Nissan has added another entry to the list of things see at the upcoming Paris motor show in the shape of its TeRRA SUV concept. The TeRRA is a seeming oxymoron as an electric SUV, mixing two of Nissan's strongest market segments into a vehicle that resembles a cross between a Leaf and a Patrol. "You have the big tires, high belt-line, thick pillars and thin side windows of the SUV vocabulary,” explains Shiro Nakamura, Nissan senior vice president and chief creative officer.
