Peugeot are taking the 2008 Compact Crossover to the Paris Motor Show previewing the forthcoming small SUV based on the 208. Peugeot may have suffered the ignominy of being dumped from France’s elite stock market listings, but that isn’t going to stop the French car maker making something of a show on their home turf at the Paris Motor Show this month. We’ve already confirmed that Peugeot are taking the production versions of the new 208 GTi and 208 XY to Paris, and they are also taking the hybrid supercar Peugeot Onyx Concept.

BMW delays X3's U.S. launch to push custom orders

BMW is delaying the U.S. introduction of the redesigned X3 to launch a system designed to encourage buyers to custom-order the crossover to their specifications, says Jim O'Donnell, president of BMW of North America. The delay could put the X3 in U.S.

Martin Smith has been appointed as Executive Director of Design at Ford Europe. Smith, a native of Sheffield, England, brings a wealth of design experience to Ford, having held positions at Porsche, Audi, and most recently as Director of Design for Opel/Vauxhall. In his new position, he will report to product development chief, Derrick Kuzak and to Ford's global group vice president for Design, J Mays.
