Up for bids is a new old stock gas-fuel filter element is brand new in the original box never installed . It is AC TYPE GF-124,  GM # 854347 . This is the original stone style fuel filter element which were used in many General Motors glass bowl in the 50's and 60's.   It appears to fit 1958-63 Aston Martin, 1957-62 Buick, 1950-67 Cadillac, 1956-57 Chevrolet, 1958 Edsel, 1956-60 Ford, 1958-59 Lincoln, 1949-53, 1958-59 Mercury, 1949-62 Olds, 1957-59 Pontiac

The original Smart car probably did more than its fair share to persuade us that small cars needn't necessarily be unsafe. But now Gordon Murray is on the same mission: to persuade us that his titchy T27 city car is as safe as houses too. Gordon Murray Design has just issued its first crash test results, showing a T27 electric car after a crash test at the UK's MIRA industry research lab.  The crash test in question was the European-standard 40% offset deformable barrier front high-speed impact.

It's been three years since the racing world lost one of its greatest heroes and nicest guys. Now, on the 50th anniversary of his world championship, the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is celebrating the life and accomplishments of Phil Hill--the first American to hold that title--with a new exhibit of his cars and a gala celebration of his greatest races. First is the exhibit, assembled in collaboration with Phil's son Derek, himself a racer.
