They have been out of production for many years and are harder and harder to locate. In 1969 Pontiac, Oldsmobile & Buick introduced the AC-R44S listed herein (resistor type) spark plugs; to help decrease radio static. Prior to 1969 the AC-44S (non-resistor type) spark plugs, was the factory installed spark plug. Accordingly, the AC-R44S is the correct substitute spark plug for the above applications listed 1968 and earlier and will equally perform.

 

 

My Vintage NOS Spark Plugs may be between 40-50 years of age. The boxes, which house the plugs, may show typical or various signs of shelf-wear as it is a paper product.  However, when you open the inner boxes you will find your plugs, to truly be in, the real deal ‘NOS’ condition.
