It was considered the grand daddy of all flying air shows. Made up of mostly WWI ex-military flyers, it captivated crowds with daredevil flight performances, wing walking and parachuting demonstrations. My Grandfather began his aviation career barnstorming in a $250 war surplus Jenny and then later flying for the Gates Flying Circus. Orville Wright signed my grandfather's license, license number 1000. My father came along at a time my grandfather was buying surplus PT19s and Stearmans for a few hundred dollars. My father continued the passion for flying and owned dozens of aircraft over the years. My brother flew for Cole Palen's Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. In his last few days, my father's eyes twinkled when I brought some flying magazines to his bed side. In honor of my dad, I'm continuing our aviation heritage. Sat, 12 Jan 2013The latest Toyota GT 86 by Gazoo Racing – the GRMN Sports FR Platinum Concept - has been revealed at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon. The most interesting is a GT86 that comes from Gazoo Racing – a part of Toyota – which was teased last week and gets the same sort of power upgrades as the Gazoo GT86 we saw turn up at Le Mans and Goodwood last year – the GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum. The GRMN Sports FR Concept Platinum gets a new front bumper and headlights with air vents on the bonnet, new back bumper and tail lights and a thumping great wing on the back.

We’ve already had a tease for the new Toyota NS4 Plug-in Hybrid, which arrived just before Christmas with very little detail and just a single teaser photo of the offside headlight. Now with the Detroit Motor Show looming, Toyota has churned out a video tease for the NS4, but we’re still none the wiser.
