:

Here is an NOS RH (right hand, or passenger side) color-keyed upper door trim piece for a 1980 to 1983 J Body Cordoba or Mirada in its original packaging.  It is in pristine condition (e.g., rubber scraper is still flexible and fully intact, and their are no cracks in the plastic panel, etc.).

This part can easily be re-colored with vinyl paint to match your particular interior color if necessary.  The length of the part is approximately 44 inches.

These upper door panels almost always cracked within just a few months when the J-bodies were new if the doors were slammed hard.  By now, if they are still even intact on the car, in addition to being cracked (particularly around the door lock stem) they also are most likely to be severely UV-faded.

While anything is possible, I have never seen or heard of a cracked trim panel being successfully repaired.  So the only true way to restore this trim is to find a new or very good used part.

I have set a reasonable price for this NOS RH-side Cordoba/Mirada upper door trim piece, given it is virtually impossible to find in NOS condition.  Of course, if you find a comparable piece on sale for less, then you should buy it.   Note that I reserve the right to end this auction early at my sole discretion.

The Buy-it-Now feature requires immediate payment.  Free, insured shippng in the continental United States only will be by FedEx Ground and package will ship within two business days of clearance of your payment.

Jaguar XF show debut

Wed, 12 Sep 2007

By Ben Oliver Motor Shows 12 September 2007 06:18 The Jaguar XF makes its debut - but haven't we seen it already? You've already been treated to advance pictures and details of Jaguar's crucial new 5-series rival in CAR magazine and on CAR Online, but the troubled Midlands firm has chosen BMW, Mercedes and Audi's home motor show for the official launch of its new XF. A bold move, but a wise one; its bigger rivals - including Lexus - have little new in this sector at Frankfurt, leaving the XF to steal the headlines and - Jaguar hopes - some sales too.

Jaguar F-Type DOES mean next Jaguar XK heading upmarket

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Ian Callum has said that the new Jaguar F-Type will give Jaguar the opportunity to push the next generation Jaguar XK upmarket. Autocar has been chatting with Jaguar’s design guru, Ian Callum, who has said pretty much what we said in September, namely that the F-Type’s arrival will allow the next XK to be ‘More special than a GT’. Ian also speculates that the next XK could grow in size too to be a bit more than a 2+2, but it seems pretty clear that Jaguar will be looking to take the next XK firmly in to territory currently held by cars like the Aston Martin DB9 and Vanquish.
