For sale is a new in the box, never used Cragar S/S wheel,  part number 8047 with defects. It is a 15X6 direct bolt wheel so it will fit five lug, 5" bolt circle vehicles only, which include 1971-1979 five lug Chevy full size pick ups and vans, 1971-1976 Caprice and Impalas. I classified this wheel as being, "new other" and " New unused with defects",  because a mouse chewed its way into the box, pic 10, and now there is some surface rust in the bead area that is not visible when a tire is mounted on it. There is some very light surface rust on the face of the wheel which is visible up close, a lot of it can be removed with your fingernail, pic 3. A dirt dobber made a home in the box also see pic 8.  I only have one of this part number wheel. This wheel has a 3 5/8 inch back spacing according to my ruler, the wheel is 6 " wide bead to bead, and is 7" wide total, so this wheel puts most of the tire under the car, giving it that flat, no dish look.  This wheel was manufactured 8/12/1975 which is shown in picture above. It was in my speed shop since the late seventies, the eighties, and nineties , and into storage around 2005, so it has been handled a few times , thus the box is rougher than a night in jail, but the wheel is an 8 on a ten scale.  I totally cleaned and sanitized the box and wheel and then polished it with Smithbrite to bring out the shine. Cragar used to sell "Cragar Wheel Care" in a spray can, looked and smelled like WD40 to me. A light coat of car wax was another old trick to preserve the chrome finish in bad weather. I included a newer version of the center cap since the original one was missing.  Cragar never included the lug nuts. with the pre drilled SS wheels .They require a short shank mag style lug nut with washer. The shank measures .600" long without the washer, and .670" od.  If spacers are required,  longer  shank nuts are required proportional to the thickness of the spacer. The rear of Cragar S/S style wheels is fairly flat so spacers may be required, rarely for calipers, more for rivets, drum weights, and or concave drums. It is best to trial mount the wheel with no tire to be sure there are none of these items that could prevent the wheel from bolting up flat. In the old days guys would come in the shop and complain about me selling them a warped wheel, we would go outside and look at the car and by darn there would be a drum weight keeping one side of the wheel from bolting up flat. Another tip is to have the tire mounted using the modern, "European clamp style" tire changers, the old post style changers ruined many a Cragar wheel.  If you are a buyer outside of the USA, contact me and I will figure out the most economical means of shipping.  If you have any questions about the compatibility of your vehicle and the parts I sell feel free to contact me through eBay. Thanks for looking.
