Stirling Moss bags an Aston Martin Cygnet for ‘er indoors
Tue, 12 Jul 2011Sir Stirling & Lady Moss with Susie's new Aston Martin Cygnet It’s much easier to have a good life when you’ve got the support of an exceptional other half. Just ask Sir Stirling Moss, who’s just surprised ‘er indoors – Susie, Lady Moss – with an Aston Martin Cygnet for her birthday. The planning for the surprise gift from Motorsport’s greatest living icon to the love of his life took six months of planning between Sir Stirling, Aston Martin and the RAC Club.
Rolls Royce Ghost spotted at Dover
Sun, 17 May 2009A virtually uncamouflaged Rolls Royce Ghost caught waiting for a ferry at Dover We’ve seen the Rolls Royce Ghost (formerly known as the RR4 or EX200) out testing in various states of camouflage over the last few months. Finally, at the Geneva Motor Show, we got a proper look at the Ghost, and then, in April, Rolls Royce decided to tell us what we already knew back in February, that it was to be known as the Rolls Royce Ghost, to make a brace of ethereal model names for Rolls Royce, along with the Phantom. So with Rolls Royce seemingly on target to launch the Rolls Royce Ghost as a production-ready car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, they are busy testing the Ghost in Europe, and our snappers caught this virtually uncamouflaged Ghost patiently waiting to catch a ferry at Dover to sail to Calais.
The AutoWeek list: Foolish cars we should never have bought, but did
Wed, 01 Apr 20092001 Pontiac Aztek Our take: The most recent black eye to the General's style department. A car equivalent of the ubiquitous camel design, put together by a committee whose members obviously didn't speak to each other. 1999 Isuzu VehiCROSS Our take: We don't doubt this Japanese ute's off-road prowess, but its goggle-eye front and corrugated steel door ripples were enormous design miscues.
