You are purchasing a NOS (New Old Stock) high compression racing flat top piston with wrist pin for the MGB 1962-65 (3 main engine). This 4 ring grooves. This is Standard size (photo 2). If you burn up 1 piston, you don't need to buy an entire set. Good spare to have. New from a vintage British inventory, part number cast on the inside 16225. (photo 3). New Mercedes S-Class Plug-in Hybrid to debut at Frankfurt Motor Show
Fri, 05 Jul 2013The new Mercedes S-Class (pictured) will arrive with a plug-in hybrid version in September We’ve known Mercedes were planning a plug-in hybrid version of the new S-Class as far back as 2009, and it now appears it will debut – as a 2014 model – at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September. When Mercedes revealed the Vision S500 Plug-in Hybrid Concept at Frankfurt in 2009, they had fitted it with a V6 petrol engine mated to a 44kw motor and a bank of lithium-ion batteries, and promised the hybrid S-Class would do 90mpg, have emissions of under 75g/km and manage 18 miles in EV mode. That means the hybrid S-Class would have performance comparable to the V8 petrol-engined S500 but attract no BIK or VED in the UK.
Mitsubishi closes California design studio
Wed, 11 Mar 2009Mitsubishi Motors Corp. closed its design studio in Cypress, CA last Thursday – just one month shy of its 25th anniversary. A result of the recent downturn in the global economy, the closure of the facility will eliminate 33 design positions as part of a personnel cull that has seen 60 people within the automaker's US operations lose their jobs.
