This is a New Old Stock two barrel Ford Autolite/FoMoCo 2100 carburetor. The venturi is 1.02. The base is stamped C1AF Y. The box looks to have C1AE 9510 Z stamped on it. I believe this is original to the 292 Fords, maybe the truck - ie: F series, and car. I find it interesting to see how an NOS unit in 1961 was colored and marked. Achim Badstuebner, Audi's head of exterior design, says the maker of sports and luxury cars is always focusing on small things--such as door handles, the C-pillars and its familiar five-spoke wheels--for design demeanor.
