This is a New Old Stock two barrel Ford Autolite/FoMoCo 2100 carburetor. The venturi is 1.02. The base is stamped C1AF Y. The box looks to have C1AE 9510 Z stamped on it. I believe this is original to the 292 Fords, maybe the truck - ie: F series, and car. I find it interesting to see how an NOS unit in 1961 was colored and marked. Please look at the photos and ask questions as needed. USPS USA is $16.85 - It will be packed in the large flat rate box for safety reasons, and the original box is included. International shipping is available, please contact me for the fee before bidding.

AutoWeek Design Forum: Audi studies details

Thu, 13 Jan 2011

Some say the devil is in the details, but the details are where Audi sets itself apart from the luxury field. Achim Badstuebner, Audi's head of exterior design, says the maker of sports and luxury cars is always focusing on small things--such as door handles, the C-pillars and its familiar five-spoke wheels--for design demeanor. "It should have the same power as that Audi DNA," he said on Thursday at the AutoWeek Design Forum.

Imagine the same character lines, the same upward kink over the rear wheel, the same haunches as the 3 and the 6.

EU new car CO2 targets pushed back

Wed, 27 Nov 2013

The European Union’s plans to cap new cars to 95g/km CO2 by 2020 has been delayed, after months of lobbying led by Germany. Instead, the 95g/km target will be introduced a year later in 2021, but with an additional amount of flexibility intended to make the transition easier – especially for luxury carmakers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, which generally build bigger, heavier vehicles. Stricter CO2 rules will save drivers cash Top 10 most economical cars The new compromise, agreed on Tuesday (26 November 2013) and set to be presented to EU diplomats on Friday (29 November 2013), changes the rules on ‘supercredits’ – which allow manufacturers claim extra credit for especially low emissions cars, such as all-electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
