McLaren MP4-12C software fixes done – deliveries re-start

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

McLaren MP4-12C - back on track The birth of the McLaren MP4-12 C should have been a cause for real celebration; the first new McLaren in a generation (almost) and a Brit competitor for the Ferrari 458. Mon, 10 Dec 2012

The first 991-generation to bear the GT3 name isn't a hardcore road car: it's the latest version of the world's most successful racing car. This is the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car, a stripped-out racer that'll compete in a one-make racing series from 2013. It'll also spawn other racing versions of the rear-engined icon, and eventually track-day versions of the 991 too.

This then is Lexus making a logical next step to further encroach on the established German premium brands. BMW originated the premium brands' performance sub-brand with the 'M for Motorsport' M3 of 1986 (the M1 supercar of 1978 preceded that, but was a singular model, not a performance derivative).
