2014 Lexus CT 200h Facelift to debut at Guangzhou Motor Show

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

2014 Lexus CT 200h Facelift to debut at Guangzhou Motor Show Remarkably, the Lexus CT 200h arrived as a ‘baby’ Lexus more than three years ago at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, so it’s time for a bit of a facelift. That facelift for the 2014 model year will debut next week, not at the big shows in Tokyo or Los Angeles but at China’s Guangzhou Motor Show before going on sale as the 2014 Lexus CT 200h. Lexus aren’t telling us what they’ve done under the skin of the CT 200h – if anything – but the new CT 200h does finally get the new Lexus spindle grill to make it a full-fledged member of Lexus’s modern family.

Saab steps up green drive

Sun, 03 Jun 2007

By Mark Walton Motor Shows 03 June 2007 01:58 Saab goes bio-power crazy Saab is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year with a further push into the very topical biofuels arena, and Geneva showcases two new examples of the Swedes' growing green commitment. First is the new 9-3 Biopower, a full range of saloon, estate and convertible 9-3s, all powered by a 1.8-litre turbocharged engine that's been modified to run on both unleaded and E85 (85 percent ethanol, 15 percent petrol). The mechanical changes include hardened valves and valve seats, and a new stainless steel fuel tank and ancilliaries, adding up to what's expected to be a £600 premium in the showroom over the standard 9-3.

Nissan GT-R sets new Nurburgring lap record

Thu, 14 May 2009

Nissan GT-R Nurburgring record By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 14 May 2009 15:45 Nissan today revealed it had smashed its own internal lap record of the Nurburgring in the new R35 GT-R. For some this is manna from anorak heaven; of course, others will dismiss it as yet more hype about a rare-groove racetrack with little relevance to the man on the street. Whatever your view, it’s still pretty impressive.
