Fresh out of an old dealership, long discontinued and no longer available.

DIY car repairs in the dry are now a reality in London In those days I would have given anything to have access to a warm, dry garage, with hoists and tools, where I could turn up, fix what had to be fixed, and stay dry in the process. Well, the days of laying prostrate under a car in the freezing cold are long gone for me, but for many, especially in these difficult financial times, DIY car repairs are a necessity. So there should be a bit of a cheer going up in London today as what are believed to be the first DIY garage facilities in Europe open for business in Acton, North London.

It's a plug-in petrol-electric hybrid car in keeping with Hethel's performance credentials: it'll hit 60mph in 'less than 4sec'. The range of the Evora hybrid testbed is said to be more than 300 miles.

Toyota are quitting F1 It’s not exactly a huge surprise, but Toyota has announced today that they are leaving Formula One and will not be back in 2010 to take their place. With the announcement that Bridgestone are also quitting F1 after 2010, and the departure of Honda before the 2009 season started, there is going to be no Japanese involvement in F1. Which is rather sad for a nation that loves its cars.
