Genuine General Motors New Old Stock New Departure division inner ball bearing separator assembly for Chevrolet front wheel.   This is the cage with the balls only as a separate part that GM sold for when the bearing races were OK and did not need replacing.

Group 6.318, part 909740

Fits 55 56 and 57 Chevy passenger cars.

In period correct mid 1950s New Departure division packaging. Box is opened, has shelf wear. Inside ball bearing separator (aka cage) still has factory treated paper wrapper.

General Motors has been in Germany, testing the most powerful Chevrolet Camaro ever produced. On Wednesday, the company said the Camaro ZL1 posted a lap time of 7 minutes, 41.27 seconds. The 2012 Camaro ZL1 ran around the 13-mile course a tick faster than the 2005 Porsche 911 GT3 and a tick slower than 911 Turbo S.

GM are desperate to grab the headlines with the Ampera in Europe, and they’ve done a full reveal – pictures, video, the works, this afternoon, instead of waiting until tomorrow as was expected. Due to go on sale when is anybody’s guess. The Ampera offers a 50km range from electric charge only, and up to 500 km range when used in conjunction with the engine.
