  Genuine GM, REAR AXLE VENT. This vent (#8640496) is used on Chevrolet, Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiacs (check compatibility list) with 10 and 12 bolt rear ends with 6 1/2" ,7 1/2" ring gears and rear ends from 1955 through 1972. The vent fits in a 3/8" diameter hole (check your application) and goes on the top side of the rear axle. This is a new Genuine GM part, not a reproduction, and has never been installed. The vent came from GM ten (10) to a package, so yours will be sent WITHOUT THE GM PLASTIC. Shipping listed is for the US (lower 48 states) others inquire before bidding. That's right--the original BMW supercar, one of 456 reportedly built. While the 277-hp straight-six may not sound too impressive today, keep in mind that the European Ferrari 308 only made about 250 hp at the time.
