This auction is for Three Goodyear Police Special Radial tires that were sold for police use. Two are brand new and have never been mounted, the mold marks and tips are still present.The other is at least 90 percent tread and really shows almost no wear at all, but you can see no mold marks on the tread. These have the pinstripe whitewall or you can run them with the black side out. Size is HR70-15, so this is about equivilant to today's P225 70R15 tire. These tires were 6 plies with 2 Polyester and 4 Rayon plies and extra heavy sidewalls. Both tires show the same DOT code of MKU7 A81189. All are clean with no cut beads and no dry rot, and as I said, the two tires never mounted and you can still see some of the inspection marks and tire Blue protectant on the pinstripe sidewall. These would be a neat display for a restored police car or Blues Brothers style cop car. A neat find.............most of these were run hard and perished. These survived in a cool dry garage for a lot of years............neat find. Remember these are big. Lexus Division unveiled its new LS 460 flagship luxury sedan that arrives in dealerships this fall, with standard and long-wheelbase editions, a hybrid version and a new F-Sport trim level with improved handling dynamics. Despite its sheet metal changes, the car is actually little changed underneath. Its 4.6-liter V8 engine and eight-speed transmission are basically carryover, at a time when luxury brands are using powertrain technology as a differentiating ploy.

The spectacular Aston Martin V12 Vantage is US bound But Aston Martin had a response to the harm the V12 Vantage may inflict on other Astons – it limited the run. We were told that just 1,000 V12 Vantages were going to be made. But it looks like that may be about to change after Aston boss – Dr Ulrich Bez – revealed in an interview with Car & Driver that the V12 Vantage is in the process of being homologated for the US.

XCar tests the Jaguar F-Type R coupe in Spain

Host Alex Goy put the new hardtop Jaguar F-Type R coupe through its paces in the latest edition of XCar. Goy says the loud, red Jag was the first car he has been pulled over in during a shoot -- which must mean he’s either more restrained than we’d have guessed or just supremely lucky. The F-Type R is now the fastest Jaguar you can buy, with 543 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque on tap.
