Peugeot 2008 DKR gets 340 bhp turbo diesel to fight the Dakar Rally
Sat, 05 Jul 2014Peugeot 2008 DKR (pictured) gets 340 bhp turbo diesel to fight the Dakar Rally The days of Peugeot’s motorsport activities being integral to the brand’s identity are long gone, but Peugeot are still playing motorsports with a few headline grabbing projects like Sebastian Loeb’s Pikes Peak car. But Peugeot’s motorsport activities at the moment are extending a bit further than hitting Pikes Peak (and the Goodwood hillclimb) in a monstrous Peugeot 208 T16, and a 2008 to take on the Dakar Rally was revealed back in April. Nissan to open new Global Headquarters Gallery
Thu, 06 Aug 2009Nissan, which opened its new global headquarters in Yokohama, Japan, last weekend (coinciding with the unveiling of the automaker's new electrically-propelled Leaf), will open a new gallery dedicated to its products on August 8th. Just as German automakers BMW and Porsche have shrines dedicated to their respective brands, Nissan's new gallery will feature exhibits of its current products, classic models and cars from its racing heritage. The new gallery - which boasts an area four times larger than the previous Nissan gallery in the company's former headquarters in Higashi Ginza - occupies 4000m2 of space on the first floor of the new building.
Vauxhall's new badge
Wed, 09 Apr 2008By Tim Pollard First Official Pictures 09 April 2008 00:00 Vauxhall has redesigned its griffin badge - and the new Insignia is the first car that will bear the new mascot. It's a typically modern rebranding: the graphic designers have zoomed in on the upper torso of the griffin, giving it a sharper, modern look and the word Vauxhall is now incorporated in the badge. The company's grille-wide V front end will be abandoned, the new grille preferring an Opel-style roundel, enlarged and sitting slap bang in the middle of the grille. It's not all change, however.
