DESCRIPTION: This is a NOS 1942, 1946, 1947, 1948 DeSoto / Mopar parts number 956147 Steering Wheel Horn Ring. This ring has a painted black insert around the top of the ring, the paint is in good condition, with a few places where it has been flaked off. The horn ring is not perfect, it has been in un-boxed storage for many years. It does not have any visible pits or nicks. I would consider it to be in good condition for the year. It has a bright shine, and may possibly be improved with a little polishing. If you need a horn ring for these years DeSoto, now is your chance to get a decent ring. The photos may magnify the blemishes somewhat.

Toyota recalls Highlander hybrid, Lexus RX 400h

The recall covers about 45,000 Toyota Highlander hybrids and 36,700 Lexus RX 400h hybrids from the 2006 and 2007 model years. Toyota says some of the transistors on the control board might have been improperly soldered and could be damaged from large current flow during high-load driving.

Mazda MX-5 Superlight concept at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

Fri, 11 Sep 2009

By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 11 September 2009 09:30 To celebrate 20 years of the MX-5, Mazda has produced this special Superlight concept which be unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show next week. Mazda started with the facelifted version of its third-gen sports car and pared it back to basics to create an uncompromising sub-1000kg two-seater sports car. According to project lead designer Hasip Girgin, the challenge was 'to evolve the MX-5, developed to perfection during the last 20 years, to a higher and extreme level.' As such, Mazda seems to be treating the MX-5 Superlight like a portly Caterham, claiming the lack of a windscreen and roof makes the driver and passenger feel more connected with the environment.
