For sale is a NOS, new in the box, never used Hurst Mystery Shifter 293-7119. This shifter fits a bunch of Fords using the Ford T & C three speed manual transmission, with Hurst shifter code 333, which is a 9 bolt top loader three speed manual trans with synchronized low gear.  This shifter and kit were designed to fit 1963 and 1964 Ford Galaxies and Mercury full size passenger cars, V6 and V8 , with out console, 1963 through 1969 Fairlanes and Torinos, withV8, without console. It will also fit 1967 through 1969 Fairlane with 6 cylinder engine and with out consoles. It also fits 1966 through 1969 Rancheros with V8's and no consoles and 1967-1969 Ranchero with 6 cylinder engines and no console. This is a complete kit, shifter, linkage, hardware, and boot. A two legged rat swiped the original black shifter knob, I upgraded this kit to the newer white Hurst shifter knob which looks much better anyway. This item has been in storage since the early seventies and the box is rough, but the parts inside are in perfect condition. Pictures 1, 2, and 5 make the unit appear to be rusted, I can assure you it is not rusted, this is just bad camera skills on my part. the wrong exposure setting was used. This shifter includes detailed instructions for an easier installation. The kit is complete as verified by my Hurst Service Parts contents sheet and ready to go. I cleaned all the parts and installed the swivels on the rods.  This was Hurst's first effort to put a quality product on the market to compete with their competitors "fit all" cheapo's. The Hurst brochure describes the Mystery shifter as having a satin finish, solid steel stick, and an exclusive acceleration ramp design, a very narrow neutral gate, and short, quick throws. This shifter will fit other vehicles using this transmission, but you will have to do some extra cutting on the floor. This unit is in perfect shape and all there including the boot. The satin metal stick is perfect, these pictures do not do it justice. If you have a 63 or 64 Galaxie or an early sixties Fairlane street machine this will help give it the look of the period, a round stick Hurst shifter. If you have any questions about your vehicle and the parts I sell please feel free to contact me through eBay. Thanks for looking.

Thu, 08 Apr 2010

The Audi Q7 gets new engines for 2010 Busy little bunnies at Audi at the moment. We had the 2010 Audi TT facelift story earlier this morning and now comes new that the other end of the Audi scale – the Audi Q7 – is up for a nip and tuck for 2010 as well.
