Range Rover Evoque – Driving footage
Sun, 26 Sep 2010Range Rover Evoque - Streets of London Video Back in August, after Land Rover had unveiled the Range Rover Evoque at KP but before we got the mountains of bumph from LR giving us the inside leg measurments of the Evoque, we had a nudge from LR towards some ‘Spy’ shots of the Evoque out filming in London. Telematics discounts tempting young drivers
Wed, 17 Sep 2014INCREASING numbers of young drivers are opting-in to telematics-based car insurance in attempt to reduce their premiums. Specialist young driver insurer Carrot has reported a 62% rise in the number of its policyholders choosing to have a telematics device, consisting of accelerometers and a GPS tracker, fitted to their car. The company says that they could save up to 20% on their annual insurance premium, which for the youngest drivers almost always amounts to a discount of hundreds of pounds.
Don’t text and drive says Volkswagen – very effectively (video)
Sat, 14 Jun 2014Cinema goers in for a shock in VW’s don’t text and drive campaign We’re not the biggest fans of putting drivers in a bubble of concentration behind the wheel, which is what law makers seem to be trying to do. Don’t take a sip from that water bottle, don’t change the channel on the radio, don’t have a conversation with your passengers, don’t smoke, don’t take hands-free phone calls – in fact, don’t do anything but drive. But it’s a foolish trend as it’s the little things going on that keep drivers alert; focusing just on the driving is a sure fire way make drivers’ brains go in to a fug and lose concentration.
