Lexus LS 600h L Review & Road Test (2011)
Mon, 07 Mar 2011Lexus LS 600h Review For a car with a made-up name and a short history, Lexus has made a real impact. Now perceived by few as being just the luxury arm of Toyota, it is almost universally accepted as a luxury marque in its own right. Nissan’s EV onslaught continues with Townpod
Thu, 30 Sep 2010Nissan’s Townpod will be the company’s third electric vehicle (a battery-powered version of the NV200 commercial vehicle will slot in after the Leaf) and is slated for a late 2012 arrival in the UK. Looking remarkably like a character from Pixar’s Cars film, the Townpod takes the lithium-ion battery-powered drivetrain of the Leaf and cloaks it in urban friendly sheetmetal. The long wheelbase and zero overhangs results in a huge cabin, accessed by some trick doors – rear-hinged rear doors and a vertically split rear door.
Ford Focus sells 1,500,000 in the UK
Wed, 09 May 2012Ford Focus - 1,500,000 sold in the UK Ford has revealed that the 1,500,000th Ford Focus has rolled out since its launch in 1998 heading for Essex cricketer Jaik Mickleburgh. The Ford Focus has been something of a phenomenon for Ford in the UK and has now racked up sales of 1,500,000 in the UK since it hit UK roads back in 1998. Ford are shouting about the Focus’s achievements – quite rightly – and have sent the landmark Focus to Essex cricketer Jaik Mickleburgh, no doubt as part of Ford’s ongoing sponsorship of Essex cricket.
