The Bluebird DC50 is an electric supercar to celebrate land and water world speed records
Tue, 09 Jul 2013The Bluebird DC50 (pictured) is an electric supercar to celebrate Campbell world speed records Don Wales has an impressive family tree – certainly when it comes to speed – with Sir Malcolm Campbell his grandfather and Donald Campbell his uncle. Just five standard colours were available on the Carrera GT (although Porsche would produce special paint finishes on request) and all featured a six speed manual ‘box and a base list price of $444,000 + tax. The limited production of the Porsche Carrera GT has helped it retain much of its value – a 2004 Carrera GT would still command in the region of $350,000.
