Renault axes Fluence Z.E. electric saloon

Renault has ceased production of its all-electric Fluence Z.E. saloon car at its European factory in Turkey due to poor sales. Figures from industry body the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that only 75 Fluence Z.E.s were sold in the UK since the car went on the market in 2011.

Chelsea boss Mourinho takes delivery of F-Type Coupé

CHELSEA Football Club manager José Mourinho has been presented with a brand new Jaguar F-Type R Coupé – by two of the men responsible for building it. Two members of Jaguar's Castle Bromwich manufacturing team, Gary Johnson and Steven Gaut, were invited to present the car to the charismatic Blues boss. Steven Gaut was given the opportunity in recognition of his exemplary contribution at Castle Bromwich, and his tireless support of local charities for whom he has raised over £60,000 in recent years.

We brought you the first vague details of the Opel Monza concept last month, but now GM Europe has released more details and pictures of its Frankfurt motor show star. The 4,690mm long Monza crosses coupé with wagon to create a gull-winged shooting brake that's just 1,310mm high. Its layered, lightweight aesthetic is said to represent the brand's new language and also marks the return of Mark Adams to the European arm of GM.
