BMW is overhauling the 3-series Coupe - it'll be replaced in 2013 by the new 4-series Coupe and Convertible, previewed in this remarkably production-ready concept car. Munich reserves the 'Concept' moniker for its show cars which are in reality showroom ready. Saleen S5S Raptor

Its S5S Raptor is around the same size as a Ferrari 430, and should be close to the same price, but boasts 175bhp more. It’s powered by a Saleen-built supercharged 6.0-litre V8, that will run on ethanol (like an increasing number of race cars).

Nissan is 80 years old in 2014, and as part of its birthday celebrations the Japanese firm has unveiled a brand-new Sport Sedan Concept at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.
