Jay Leno tests the Venom GT

Thu, 05 Jan 2012

Five years ago, Hennessey Performance was locked in a high-horsepower battle with supercars from Germany, Italy and the United States. The car Hennessey brought was the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo Viper. After decimating the competition in 0-to-200-mph runs, John Hennessey thought if his company could just stuff the engine into a smaller car, it could go even faster.

2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible debuts

Thu, 18 Nov 2010

The 2011 BMW 6 Series Convertible - on sale March 2011 Perhaps BMW wants to grab a slice of the top-end convertible action next Spring, or maybe they just fancied turning normal model launch convention on its head by launching the soft-top first. But whatever BMW’s reasoning the fact is that we will get the 2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible in March, probably six months before the 6-Series Coupe arrives. The 2011 6-Series Convertible is, you won’t be shocked to learn, exactly what we’ve been expecting for quite some time (we even brought you the first photo of the 2011 BMW 6-Series Convertible last month) and is a topless take on the new BMW 6 Series Coupe we saw at Frankfurt back in September.

First Sight: BMW 3 Series

Wed, 27 Oct 2004

With the 7 Series of 2001, Z4 of 2002, X3, 5 and 6 Series of 2003, and 1 Series earlier this year, the current E46 3 Series is the last (X5 excepted) 'old school' BMW in production. These first official pictures show BMW's fifth generation E90 3 Series which replaces this car and completes the new design strategy for the main series BMW range under Design Director Chris Bangle. Now with a smaller sibling in the range, the 3 Series is no longer BMW's entry level car although it shares much of its platform with the 1 Series and it is expected to continue to account for about half of BMW's total sales.
