Up for auction is a NOS timing chain and gears for a  1963-1965 Galaxie, Fairlane, or Falcon with a 260 or 289ci motor (except hipo).  They are also correct for a 1965 1/2 Mustang with a 260 or 289ci motor (before change L7).  They are brand new original Ford and in very nice condition.  Part number C3OZ-6256-C, C2OZ-6268-A, and C2OZ-6306-A.   "Free Shipping" is to the continental US only but we can ship anywhere for an additional cost. Mercedes-Benz slots 4 compacts for U.S.

Mercedes-Benz will launch four compact vehicles in the United States in the next three years with starting prices of $30,000 or below. The vehicles will include a production version of the A-class coupe concept shown last week at the New York auto show. Three variants of Mercedes' new-generation compact family also are headed for the United States.

VW to buy Italdesign Giugiaro, sources say

Volkswagen AG will buy a controlling stake in Italy's largest design and engineering firm, Italdesign Giugiaro S.p.A., two industry sources confirmed to Automotive News Europe. One of the sources said that an announcement could come as early as next week. Italdesign and VW representatives declined to comment.

Early Mercedes sells for £720,000

ONE OF the oldest surviving Mercedes cars has sold at auction for an astronomical fee. The Mercedes Simplex 28/32 HPs Phaeton eventually sold for £720,000 at the Coys auction house True Greats sale in London. Still in complete and roadworthy condition, the car was reported to be in superb, drivable condition before its sale, which was the first time it had been auctioned in its near-109-year life.
